David is a 18-year veteran of the insurance business, beginning his career in 2004 working in his family’s insurance agency, Fear Insurance Services and later for an agency representing Nationwide Insurance. He has both a Life/Health and Property/Casualty insurance background and specialized in small group and commercial lines coverage for businesses for several years.

In 2014, he moved over to the General Agency side of the business, becoming a broker sales consultant for Shepler & Fear General Agency.  In October of 2021, David went back to the retail side and joined Eureka Insurance Services as a producing agent.  David has a history of working with both brokers and clients in the small group and large group fully insured markets as well as with alternative funding arrangement including Health Reimbursement Arrangements and Self Funding plans.

Professionally, David has served as the President of the California Association of Health Underwriters 2018-2019.  He is a former President of the Sacramento Association of Health Underwriters 2010-2012 and he served as the CAHU Membership Chair in 2012-2014 and CAHU Legislative Chair 2014-2017.
